He made his debut at the Hungarian State Opera in 1971 singing Don Jose. His also sang Narraboth, Macduff, Cassio, and the Duke during his early years. He appeared as a guest in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Zürich and Berne His roles included Oronte, Ernani, Gabriele Adorno, Don Carlos, Alfredo, Alvaro, Riccardo, Radames and Manrico. Des Grieux, Cavaradossi, Luigi, and Calaf. Turridu, Canio, Pollione, and Chenier. For a light touch, Nemorino!
