She studied at the choir conductors Iša Krejčí in Brno (Brünn) and completed her education at Teresa Arkel in Milan. In 1895 her stage debut was at the Theatre of Olomouc.. She went from there to the German Theatre in Brno (1897-1898) and was followed from 1898 to 1901 at the Court Theater of Darmstadt in commitment. During this time she appeared as a guest at the Opera House of Frankfurt, at the court theaters of Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, and 1901 of the Vienna Court Opera. In 1901 she was appointed by Karel Kavarovic at the National Theatre in Prague, the ensemble she belonged until 1914. When in 1914 married Dr. Jordán, she broke her contract with the Opera House, but resigned until 1924 as a guest on there. Also to other Czech theaters, inter alia Brno and Plzen (Pilsen), she continued to guest performances. They dominated a very wide repertoire, which contained about 125 roles, including Donna Anna in “Don Giovanni”, the Leonore in “Fidelio” that Agathe in “Der Freischütz,” Senta in “The Flying Dutchman,” the Elisabeth in “Tannhauser “Elsa as Ortrud in” Lohengrin “, the Isolde in” Tristan “that Brünnhilde in” Valkyrie “, the Elektra by Richard Strauss, the Marschallin in” Der Rosenkavalier, “Marguerite in” Faust “by Gounod, the Charlotte in Massenet’s “Werther,” the Leonora in “Il Trovatore”, the Aida, Milada in “Dalibor,” the Carolina in “Dve Vdovy” (“the Two Widows”) by Smetana, the Rusalka by Dvorak, the Marina, “Dimitry , “also by Dvorák, the Beatrice in” the Bride of Messina JB “by Fibich and the title role in” Eva “by Foerster. In addition to her work on stage in a concert hall came a second major career as a concert and lieder singer.
